Privacy
Your teaching work, and nothing more
This page is a plain-language summary of how Teachara works today. A full legal privacy policy will replace the placeholder text below before Teachara accepts live payments.
No student records
Teachara is built for teacher work only. It does not hold student names, grades, identifiers or any other identifiable student record, and there are no student accounts.
What Teachara stores
Your account details, your courses and schedule, the lessons and resources you create or upload, your stated preferences, and the professional goals and credential dates you enter yourself.
Connected accounts
Google Drive, OneDrive and Outlook calendar connections are optional, per-teacher and read-only. Teachara reads only what it needs to show your files and schedule, never copies your whole drive, and you can disconnect at any time.
AI processing
Prompts and the context Teachara assembles are sent to AI providers to produce your drafts. Teachara does not sell your data and does not use your teaching material to advertise to you.
Resource exports and personal-data controls
Individual classroom resources can be downloaded or printed with workspace access. Teachara does not offer a bulk teaching-workspace download. Personal-data requests and deliberate account-deletion controls remain available when the workspace is locked.
Subscription retention
The launch policy locks workspace access 7 days after a failed renewal, moves teaching data into a recoverable archive on day 60, and schedules permanent removal on day 120. Recovery during days 60–119 requires a one-time $70 fee and an active subscription. Payment retries do not restart this countdown. Billing shows the policy status and your dates; enforcement, sending and automatic removal are staged separately for launch.
Substitute access
You can issue separate, revocable credentials for an assigned class. Substitutes can view its approved materials, leave handoff notes and draft AI resources within your allowance. Their drafts require your review before adoption into your Library.
